Terms and Conditions
Purchase of a Repair Service:
Standard repair services are detailed on my website and in my Ebay listings. Once you have purchased the required service, the faulty module should be sent to the address shown on my website and/or Ebay listing. Most repairs will be completed and received back within 3 working days, some complicated repairs may take longer. International repairs will take longer due to increased delivery times.
In most circumstances the initial fault diagnosis will have been carried out or determined by the customer. All modules are tested for actual faults before any work is carried out, if no fault is found then contact will be made to ascertain if the standard repair is to be completed or the module returned in the “as received” condition.
If your module cannot be repaired I will provide a full detailed report and costing for a replacement module. Any payments made are transferrable against the cost of a replacement module.
Some module failures will have been caused by the failure of other components on the vehicle. The warranty of the repaired module will be conditional that the components having caused the failure be replaced. In these instances the failure mode will be indicated on the repair invoice returned with the item.
Custom repair quotations require full payment to be made before despatch of the repaired module.
If the standard repair is declined, as in the case of a “no fault
found” scenario or if the module received has been deemed beyond repair then a fee based as follows will be charged;
The cost of UK 1st Class Recorded or Special Delivery post plus any applicable merchant fees.
International returns will incur a return postal rate at cost plus any applicable merchant fees.
All other balances of payments received will be refunded.
The return fee will be waived if you do not require the original
module to be sent back.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
I return high value items using Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK and Royal Mail Tracked and Signed service for International deliveries. In all instances the appropriate level of insurance will have been included. I strongly recommend that you choose the correct service when sending an item to me and add insurance to your package. All items should be adequately packaged and must include your contact details. I do not provide a collection service and you must arrange the shipment of your unit to me. For International shipments the sender is responsible for paying any Customs import and/or export fees associated with shipping the item, these can include incoming duty, outgoing duty, and/or courier administration costs. Modules that cannot be repaired or are returned because a repair has been declined by the customer may also be subject to these fees.
The Customs Service of your country may significantly delay the delivery of the returned item,
this is beyond my control and I will not be held responsible for any costs
as a result of a delayed delivery.
I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages but I will do all that is required to initiate and process a claim with the
relevant delivery company.
If an item is lost whilst being returned to the customer I will do all in my ability to arrange a replacement item.
The Warranty covers the repair of your unit back to its original operating condition as a result of component or workmanship defects for a period of one year from the date of repair. Some specific repairs or parts used are provided with an additional Two or Five year Warranty.
All parts replaced and labour performed by Technozen Electronics are covered. The warranty is valid for the period that you own the vehicle and is non-transferable. Any warranty claims require you to remove the module and return it to me for testing and inspection. Cost of return delivery to me, removal, car hire, diagnostic, coding, programming, software download, and/or mechanic charges are not covered by the warranty and the warranty only applies to the original repair carried out.
Certain module failures can be directly attributed to the failure of other components on the vehicle. The warranty of the repaired module will be conditional that the components having caused the failure be replaced. In these instances the failure mode will be indicated on the repair invoice returned with the item and the relevant parts that must be replaced identified.
If during the warranty it is determined the part is beyond repair as a result of the failure of the original work carried out, I will at my discretion either provide a replacement unit or refund the entire original repair cost.
Factors that could void the warranty include, but are not limited to: water damage, fire damage, over voltage damage, part being damaged as a result of another defective part in the vehicle, damage caused by jump starting the vehicle, improper use, use in an application for which the part was not intended.
Any warranty given is in addition to your Statutory Rights.
All agreements and purchase of services will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England.
